Fantasy Football 2007-2008 wrap up

January 29th, 2008 by Chinedu · 1 Comment

I am an avid Fantasy football participant. Every year, I’ll probably play in atleast 2 pretty serious leagues. Honestly, I’m a big sports fan (football especially), but my Sunday’s have never been the same since I started playing FF. There is nothing like waking up around 10am (after along night out) and checking up on your lineup to make sure everyone’s a go… and then just sitting around stat tracking for the whole day! Furthermore, there is nothing better than txt’ing your friend that you’re playing against a little something like, “You like my boy Moss going off for 3 tugs in the first half dont ya!”.

Unfortunately I found myself on the outside looking in this year in both leagues that I played in, which is VERY unfamiliar territory. In the 4 years that I’ve been playing FF this was the first year I wasn’t playing in weeks 15 and/or 16. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t a cellar dweller, or what we refer to as a donator/donation, but if you’re not in contention for the money come week 15 and 16, you probably just wasted 14 weeks of your life.

Anyway, enough about me… let’s talk about all you guys that got burnt by Tom Brady in week 15! haha. I guess I got off on a little tangent at the beginning there, but this post was really meant to see how a 1st round draft (picks 1-10) would go TODAY for the ‘08-’09 season. These are the scoring rules:

  • 1 pt/reception
  • 1 pt = 10 yds rec
  • 1 pt = 15 yds rushing
  • 1 pt = 20 yds passting
  • 6 pts = rec td
  • 6 pts = rushing td
  • 4 pts = passing tdHere are my picks:
    1. LT
    2. Joseph Addai
    3. Tom Brady
    4. Brain Westbrook
    5. Adrian Peterson
    6. Randy Moss
    7. Tony Romo
    8. Terrell Owens
    9. Larry Johnson
    10. Chad Johnson
